Edward can run faster than any cheetah, he can stop a moving car with his bare hands, and he hasn't aged since 1918. He's a vampire. Like all vampires, he's immortal. But he doesn't drink human blood, which is rare among the vampire population. Instead, they go on regular "hiking" trips, where they feed on prey such as grizzly bears and mountain lions. To Edward, Bella is that thing he has waited 90 years for – a soul mate. But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy. But what will Edward & Bella do when James (Cam Gigandet), Laurent (Edi Gathegi) and Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre), the Cullens’ mortal vampire enemies, come to town, looking for her? Will true love prevail when Edward is forced to save her life and conquer his thirst?

Bruno (Asa Butterfield) is the young son of a Nazi commander (David Thewlis) whose new promotion means Bruno, as well as his sister Gretel (Amber Beattie) and mother (Vera Farmiga) must all join him at his new post. This new home is situated just within sight distance of the commandant’s new post, a Jewish work camp. Bruno is lonely and confused by his new surroundings, and he doesn't understand why he can't wander the grounds or play at a nearby farm. The "farm", of course, is a concentration camp, though Bruno doesn't know this. One day, after breaking the rules and sneaking out of the compound, Bruno wanders in the direction of the farm. There he encounters Shmuel (Jack Scanlon), a boy his own age who lives on the farm which, Bruno discovers, is surrounded by an electric fence. Bruno knows that his friendship with Shmuel is dangerous, but after witnessing brutal violence perpetrated against some very kind people, he has begun to question the Nazi doctrine of hate. He is no longer sure what to make of his soldier father, whom he once believed to be a hero. Based on the novel by John Boyne, THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PAJAMAS is as close to perfect as a film can hope to be, The Boy In The Striped Pajamas is nothing short of a masterpiece. It is a remarkable story, told with masterly intelligence and grace.
